Couturier to the greek stars, Apostolos Mitropoulos normally is to be found dressing celebrities, high-fashion crowd & greek pop-stars like Helena Paparizou, Despina Vandi, Keti Garbi, Anna Vissi, Sakis Rouvas and many more.

An instant hit
Born in Athens on the 31st of May 1977, Apostolos graduated from Veloudakis fashion college in 1997. It wasn't long before he was acknowledged as an important greek fashion designer: Following the opening of his showroom in the center of Athens (2000), he did his first complete fashion show in Paris at the Carousel de Louvre in February 2001, while in 2002 he won the Madame Figaro magazine Award for Best New Greek Designer.

Fashion for the masses
Apostolos is one of the few greek fashion designers who has his own diffusion line - and a quite successful one. Since winter 2006, in collaboration with Underground fashion company, he designs two collections per year under the name Apostolos Mitropoulos for Underground. The collections are distributed in Greece and Europe and were an instant hit.
Before that, his trademark logo MINNIE IN HEELS was transformed into a t-shirt for the greek edition of InStyle magazine that was distributed as a gift with the December 2005 issue and is still worn proudly by fashionistas as a collector's item.

Present company included
A very important part of Apostolos' work includes a lengthy list of collaborations for big advertising campaigns: He has produced designs for individual clients as well as unique designs for the promotional purposes of companies such as Coca-Cola, McDonalds, Vodafone, Lucky Strike, Cosmote, Mac, Clinique, Odyssey cigarettes, Fage, Lakis Gavalas & more.
His most notable collaboration was in 2006, when he designed a rubber corset for the ABSOLUT label 1879 collection, which appeared in the ABSOLUT MITROPOULOS advertising campaign.

Unforgettable performances
Apostolos' first artistic moment came in 1999, when he designed the emperors’ outfit for Emperors’ new clothes, a theatrical performance by choreographer Kostantinos Rigos. His long-standing collaboration is the one with greek singer George Mazonakis: From spring 2005 until today, Apostolos exclusively designs the dancers’ costumes in his shows / performances, directed by Niko Soulis. He has also been found designing all the clothes for Anna Vissi's performance at Fever (2002), while in 1999 & in 2006 he designed all the costumes for the comedy performances of show man Takis Zacharatos.

One man, many talents
Apostolos began his career designing crazy and beautiful outfits for club dancers and still works in the international club & theatre scene. He designs and oversees the manufacture of outfits for the staff in various club-restaurants such as Balux, KingSize, Venue, Privilege, Destijl, +Soda, CarpeDiem, Passa, Mostar & Gaz. But it was only a matter of time for the club scene to discover Apostolos not only as a fashion designer, but also as a dj. In 2005, he started dj'ing for private fashion parties in the clubs Venue, Bondage, Plus X, Motel and in winter 2006-7 he was resident dj at the successful monthly SEX parties in Luv club with British dj and producer Tasty Tim. Apostolos also did the interior design for clubs Bondage & Kruntz and since November 2005 he is contributing as a monthly fashion columnist in the most popular lifestyle magazine in Greece, NITRO.
